innovative sculptures

This was a gift for my father and stepmother's 24th anniversary. I sent it to them and it arrived on the very day. They both love artisan objects and can greatly appreciate articles made by hand. They were both overwhelmed with gratitude for the beautiful gift! It is a one of a kind piece of artwork which will stand in their home as a symbol of my appreciation of their love for each other! I sent this to my cousin in Colombia; he lives alone but works for the " desplazados" because of the violence and war. Before the pandemic he would travel to the Magdalena river and would take the most amazing pictures. I hope this inspires him and gives him validation for the what he does.

I ordered this not really knowing much about the Novica website or what they were about. I believe I saw an ad on Facebook. After browsing through the site and reading about the artists involved, I settled on the "Kiss Me" statue both for it's simplicity, and because it resembles the number 8- which also signifies "eternity". I was extremely nervous while my girlfriend opened the package (I left it unopened) and was pleasantly surprised by both the excellent craftsmanship, and the size of the carving. It was much bigger than I expected- but that was a good thing! More importantly, my significant other absolutely loved it! I highly recommend this item, and if all the items on this site are of similar quality I know that I will be a frequent shopper.
