I bought this one long time ago. I was leaving in OR and people in our small town complaint of squirrels invading their hazelnut trees. So I placed this statue on the hill to remind people not to forget to feed the squirrels. Now that I moved out to another state people continue the tradition of feeding the squirrels. Great unique statue that looks so real. Very fine wood carving!

Mauricio is a skilful and dedicated artist and a truly delightful man. We have visited Guatemala on a number of occasions and have visited his stall each time - he is a warm and caring man who deals with his customers as friends. Each visit has been a treat. Being able to add to our collection through NOVICA from an armchair in the UK is an extra bonus.

This was the first item I put on my personal wishlist when I discovered Novica in 2018. In 2020 I decided to purchase it for myself as a birthday gift and could not possibly be happier with it! I absolutely adore the character story provided about the symbolism of the necklace. As another reviewer has mentioned, Mariana Llanes is a truly talented artisan!
