"The mountains we see in our village inspire this design," members of Women United for Artisan Development explain. "We live in an area of mountains crowned by clouds. When they descend as mist, they refresh our nights." Woven by hand on a backstrap loom, this burgundy cushion cover features diamond textures, ivory accents, corded edges and a solid burgundy back.

Should one of the threads snag, the artisans suggest you pull it back into place from the back of the fabric with a fine crochet hook.

Blue streams of various widths adorn the front of this pair of vivid cushion covers from Seema in India. The aqua, cerulean and dark navy stripes are embroidered on the front panels of the polyester pillow covers; the reverse sides are solid off-white polyester.
