ok, these really are actual flowers that have gone through some magical process to make them hard, preserved, durable earrings. The color is wonderful. They are big though, I have double pierced ears and I can't wear anything in my second piercing when I wear these, but that's fine with me.

I lived in New Delhi several years ago and had occasion to visit the Taj Mahal more than 8 times, taking visitors, etc. The building, of course, is magnificent and looks different depending on the time of day and amount of light. One of my favorite things about it were the gorgeous floral panels inside inlaid with semi-precious stones. It's very dim inside. The guides shine a flashlight on the inlaid stones. The carnelian glows like fire. Since that time, it's been a favorite of mine. These earrings are beautiful and substantial. My husband is going to give them to me for Christmas, so I had to watch while he put them away. I tried them on, and didn't want to give them back, they are so nice. They look amazing on. I know I will get many compliments on them.
