After visiting Mexico and falling in love with the warmth of its people and the richness of its culture, I began searching for the perfect Catrina—one that truly honored the spirit and artistry of Día de los Muertos. I was looking for something of impressive quality and timeless beauty, and I found exactly that in this piece by Luis Morales. This sculpture is nothing short of magnificent. Ordered for our fire department

I head our local fire safe council, and I couldn't resist this sculpture for our fire department, which we work closely with. In fact, I went back and ordered more because our chief loved it and thought we could make it the basis of an annual award to a firefighter or fire prevention staff member. A friend who's a woodworker is going to make redwood bases for them, so we can get a trophy shop to engrave and mount descriptions. This is all very exciting!
