Gorgeous wooden heart held in hands

This is an absolutely beautifully crafted piece. I got this piece because my son passed away recently and when I saw this I immediately thought of him, I felt like my heart is in his hands wherever he is, and we'll always be together. I'm sure it can be interpreted in many ways and that's just one of the wonderful things about this heart held in two hands. The butterfly on the heart adds yet another sentimental and significant meaning to the sculpture.

I purchased the Gifting Tree from this artist last year for my daughters-in-law. Both loved it - in fact, one leaves it out all year, not just for Christmas. This year I bought the Bee Eaters for me. The colors are vibrant and the workmanship excellent. It arrived well-packed for a safe delivery. I am so happy to have one of Mr. Barrow's pieces in my home.

Animal Sculpture

In many cultures, since ancient times, animals have been the subject of many prolific artists' greatest pieces of art, including México’s designer Angel Ceron’s depiction of man’s best friend via his ceramic animal sculptures. In many of Mexico’s pre-Hispanic cultures, the dog, who is believed to see spirits, was depicted as loyal leader walking the master’s soul to the realm of the dead.
