From Chiapas, Mexico, comes this hand woven table runner courtesy of artisan Rosalina Arias. A backstrap loom, a weaving method dating back to pre-Columbian times, is used to combine green and hot pink threads, thus achieving the runner's intriguing hue. Woven into the 100% cotton cloth is a line of Mayan-influenced figures in black; the motif appears at both ends and in the middle of the decorative accessory.
