Delivery EstimateMauricio Morales crafts a small ceramic bird figurine that features exquisite hand painted detailing. "The process for making these small animals was something I learned when I was small...since then it has become a passion of mine," says the Guatemalan artisan, adding that the bird sculpture is made for, "...all of those who love birds." He starts by mixing the clay and carefully shaping the figure, and then he adds aluminum legs and feet. After the bird is fired, he sands it, mixes his own colors and paints the figurine. The result is a charming and meticulous depiction of a burrowing owl complete with characteristic arched eyebrows, mottled coloring, and yellow eyes.

"Adorable!"
This was so well done, so well painted, it was a joy to give as a Christmas gift, and my friend just loved it. Shes put it in one of her large houseplant pots. Watched over by the cat.

"Just beautiful!"
I highly recommend Senor Morales beautiful creations as each of the items that I purchased have made exquisite additions to my husbands bird collection. In addition, his creations are wrapped so beautifully! They make a wonderful present and the shipping was fast with his items well protected for the long journey to the United States. I intend to be a repeat customer as I am extremely happy about these presents that I purchased for my husbands 60th birthday!

"Beautiful Oriole"
I gave this as a gift and the recipient put it in a outside planter and it still looks good after a few years. He loves Orioles and happens to be a Baltimore Orioles fan.

"I needed this sweet Pink Robbin"
