Delivery EstimateThis nativity scene by Jose Canil Ramos combines the strength of faith with traditional Guatemalan arts. Baby Jesus is welcomed by Mary and Joseph, as well as the archangel Gabriel, the Three Wise Men wearing golden crowns, and a donkey and cow. Ramos carves each figurine by hand from pinewood that was weathered and dried during the summer months. The characters' florid yellow robes and black cloaks are painted by hand, and Gabriel's wings are detachable. Featuring 9 pieces, this nativity scene preserves a tradition that was brought to Guatemala in 1649.

"A wonderful Nativity Set!"
Joses work is truly art! I ordered the nativity Set as a surprise for my wife. She loves it! If you are looking for a family heirloom, please consider his carvings! Im certain they will become a family tradition to have on your mantle-place or around a Christmas tree every year!

"This is s family heirloom now!"
Beautiful rendition of archangel Raphael. We wanted extra protection this year with do many family members having illness. We were able to generate strength and peace having this special image carved by the talented hand of Jose Ramos. The colors are very vibrant and the gold tones make this image pop out. So many family and friends now ask us to place special prayers under this sculpture and we think it is a blessing to have in our home.

"Another JOCARA success"
I ve purchased dozens of Jose Canil Ramos artworks over the years for my collection and as gifts for family and friends. Many of his best pieces are no longer available which is a shame.
