Meaning "great drummer" in the Akan language of Ghana, this sculpture is aptly titled Odomankoma Kyerema. Samuel Owusu designs the sculpture, which he carves by hand from sese wood to depict a musician playing a traditional djembe drum. With a creative flair, the artisan carves the figure to leave out the drummer's midsection. A shiny black finish with painted accents completes this sculpture.
