Calm and peaceful, this puzzle box depicts a resting giraffe. Indonesian artisan Sarwaedi presents his own designs in this piece, working with family members to hand carve it from local suar wood. The box opens to reveal a single inner compartment for storing small items.

In Kenya Giraffe is called Tiga. I was adopted by a Woman from the Katiga Clan of the Luos, they are the Far Seers. This wood giraffe is great, beautifully carved with a good sized place in side for some special jewelry. Tiga stands up proudly to see far.
