The magnificent head of a Sumba horse is sculpted from suar wood to be transformed into a decorative box with a secret. Four pieces link together like a puzzle to hide personal treasures inside this box from Eka.
Horses from the island of Sumba are a cross between Arabian and local horses. Besides being used as a burden animal, livestock, ridden to herd cattle, or used in racing, Sumba horses are also used in weddings as a gift from the groom to the bride's family.

"Beautiful Craftsmanship"

"Wonderful Childrens Gift"

Beautifully carved and very expressive. My name is Drake which means dragon in early English, so have a few well done dragon pieces in my home as well as a hand made dragon in stained glass. Love this one.
