The silver is crafted into two rectangular shapes that house beads of purple amethyst and crystal. Adorning the ears on hooks of sterling silver, these earrings represent an effort to train Guatemalan youth in the art of jewelry crafting. The Jalapa Girl Jewelsmiths mark their pieces with a unique tag bearing the fingerprint of the artisan that made them.
