Details

The Molinari Family of Brazil trained with artisans from the island of Murano, Italy, to develop and hone their glass-blowing skills. Murano, near Venice, is the epicenter of the glassblowing arts, and the family's amazing skill is showcased in this stunning hand-blown vase. Swirls of coffee brown artfully accent the cream-colored glass.

Preserving Traditions

Preserving Traditions

Antonio Carlos and his brother, Paulo Molinari, learned the ancient hand-blown glass technique as apprentices of the Italian master, Aldo Bonora, who came to Brazil from Murano Island. After eight years, they opened their own workshop in 1962. Considered among the most brilliant and talented hand-blown glass makers in the country, they have trained a number of glass artisans and have formed masters that have worked with them for more than 30 years.
