Set in a bracelet, sleeping goddesses envelop the wearer in pleasant dreams. Buana carves the exquisite faces from smooth white bone. Natural amber and teardrops of reconstituted turquoise complete this beautiful bracelet.

When used in jewelry, amber beads can include a stunning arrangement of tones and hues. Natural amber ranges from yellow to deep orange. It may sometimes even have a green cast to it, as well as opaque swirls within. Because amber is the preserved resin of prehistoric trees that grew millions of years ago, it sometimes has tiny inclusions of plants and insects -- making it highly prized.

“Exquisite Workmanship”

This bracelet is without a doubt THE most beautiful piece of jewelry I have ever owned. The THREE carved bone faces are amazing, and the other stones, amber and turquoise, are equally as lovely. All of these elements make a dazzling piece of jewelry.

Buana is a master silversmith. He designs and crafts his jewelry collection using a combination of traditional and modern jewelry making techniques. Buana and his silversmiths share their knowledge and train younger artisans that join the workshop.

Microcredit Financing

Buana has received 14 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2400 and the most recent for $7000. Proceeds were used to invest in a purchase of natural gemstones and silver for his jewelry.

Caring for Children

When Buana first began to work, he was fearful that he would be unable to care for his first child. Now he proudly cares for two.

Buana provides for the education of his two children.
