Details

Inspired by the largest Buddhist temple in the world, artisan Nyoman Ariawan presents this unique sterling silver cuff bracelet with a concealed hinge. The temple, Borobudur, was built around the 9th century A.D. on the island of Java, with grounds that form a mandala pattern when viewed from above. The temple also houses numerous statues of Buddha, some of which are seated inside of bell-shaped structures known as stupas. Each stupa is carved with distinctive diamond-shaped holes to view the statues inside, and this motif is recreated in Ariawan's bracelet. Combined with curling sterling silver vines and twin glittering blue topaz gems that total twelve carats, this remarkable bracelet recalls the long history and architecture of Buddhism.
