Appearing to peck the head of this African mask, a bird is hand-carved from sese wood. Ghana's Stanley Kennedy Ahia designs this mask, which is diligently carved by local artisans. The face is decorated with embossed aluminum sheet, evoking traditional scarification practices.

"My central Pride and Joy"
I cant stop staring at my new Village chair. The artists talent shines through the smooth carvings and detail. I presently am using it as my office chair, but plan to make it the chair at my head table. It is extremely comfortable and of highest quality. I am now considering purchasing another. ONE NOTE: It was very easy to assemble (the screws are from Italy!), but I recommend using longer screws. It is a very sturdy chair.
