Delivery EstimateBeautiful and sonorous, this djembe drum exalts the beauty of Africa's renowned kente cloth. It comes from Daniel Asante's skill and imagination. The goatskin head is affixed by iron rings wrapped in cotton, and a macramé cord can be slung over the shoulder. The djembe originated in Benin, where it is used during voodoo rites, and has been introduced into neighboring countries. It is indispensable in contemporary reggae.

For a smaller drum, this work of art has a deeper resonating sound. Dont be fooled by hits small stature! Tuned perfectly!:)

"a favorite acquisition"
I have purchased several masks. Each has been interesting in its own way but I think this one is my favorite and now hangs in my office where I can see it all day. I love the surface patterning and the unusual facial expression and configuration.

"Perfect"
