Inspired by the art and customs of the Akan people, Samuel Okyere designs a regal mask aptly termed Ahenfo. It means "royal" in the Twi dialect of the Akan people. Okyere carves the sese wood mask by hand featuring a crown, and decorates it with embossed aluminum plates and painted details. "This mask is intended to symbolize a powerful king," explains the Ghanaian artisan.
