Artisan Azariah Norteye of Ghana presents this original mask, handcrafted from clay. The artisan molds the mask by hand and fires it in a kiln, and paints the completed mask with a mottled golden finish. The mask is named ohaneba, which means "prince" in the Twi dialect of the Akan peoples of Ghana.
