Acrylic Expressionist Painting, "African Design"

Gordon Amponsah depicts four faceless men in robes and hats who look directly toward the viewer. Yet their unseen gaze reaches beyond, conferring a universality upon the vibrant quartet. "The traditional clothing worn in Africa is attractive and colorful, and Ghanaian men are able to wear it to all functions," artist Gordon Amponsah affirms. He presents the original painting in a Manila board mat.
