Luisa Villavicencio combines natural green and ivory Guatemalan cotton in this classic hobo bag. Woven by hand, the fabric is trimmed with leather, while colorful ceramic beads and jade adorn the handbag strap. The effect is a stunning tribute to the gifts of the Earth. Lined in dark brown cotton, the bag opens to reveal a zipper pocket as well as two open pockets.
The Villavicencio family cultivates cotton in several natural colors – jade, brown and ivory, or raw cotton. In fact, people are surprised to learn that no dyes are used. The family is involved in the entire process, from growing the cotton, to weaving it and transforming it into this handbag.
