However, THE GARUDA still remains number one. For some reason the pictures on their website does not capture their true beauty. An unbelievable wood carving mask. I have Janger dancer masks and other masks made in Indonesia. It’s a beautiful, intricate details wood carving. It is now adorned our formal dining room, together with my other hand made items from Indonesia and other countries. I am originally from Indonesia, so I am familiar with the wood carving.

Magnificent!

Barong is now busy protecting the house, frightening evil spirits but grinning heartily at the rest of us. He has added a colorful and life-enhancing presence that is a delight to encounter daily. After his arrival I particularly enjoyed watching Barong dance rituals on YouTube and highly recommend them to anyone contemplating ordering the mask since you’ll understand his significance and character better. Incidentally, I had no trouble hanging him on the wall with a tiny bit of ingenuity.
