I ordered this to the UK and it arrived on time and very carefully packaged and presented. I am very pleased with my purchase- the craftsmanship and intricacy of the design is beautiful. It is a very sturdy and well constructed box and really high quality. The wood is finished well and very smooth. The interior is the only aspect that it falls slightly short of expectation: the velvet ring holder is made of cardboard and falls out easily exposing the wood beneath but this is only a minor issue and you can easily glue this back in. All in all a very well made and high quality jewellery box.

This kind of master handcrafting is so beautiful but difficult to find in the USA. I was especially touched by M. Ayub?s write up about the Kashmir Valley and how he learned his craft which was historically passed from one generation to the next but attracts fewer and fewer artisans these days. The box is beautifully detailed and I feel fortunate to have stumbled across his work on Novica?s site. Thank you for sharing the gift of your artistic expression and craftsmanship with the world M. In Kenya Giraffe is called Tiga. I was adopted by a Woman from the Katiga Clan of the Luos, they are the "Far Seers". This wood giraffe is great, beautifully carved with a good sized place in side for some special jewelry. Tiga stands up proudly to see far.
