Original Impressionist Gandhara Buddha Painting, "Intelligence"$847.99
This intriguing and atmospheric acrylic on canvas painting is by Thai artist Rawat Vongla. The artist recreates an ancient Greco-Buddhist statue in hazy shades of rose, green and brown. The statue was one of the first representations of Buddha (1st - 2nd century AD), and was excavated at Gandhara, Pakistan. Such early Hellenistic interpretations, such as the figure's draped, toga-like garment, point to the Greek influence on depictions of the Buddha from that point onward.
Original Signed Acrylic Painting of Child at Play, "Child's Play"$177.99
This lighthearted original painting from Ney Cardoso of Brazil depicts a child at play on a hobby horse, hair blowing freely in the wind. A butterfly witnesses and shares the child's simple joy and freedom. Working in acrylic on canvas, the artist employs his characteristic Cubist style, but with a palette of soft blues and light, Impressionist-inspired brushwork.
Signed Impressionist Acrylic Painting of Female Nude, "Female Body"$254.99
Brazilian artist Ney Cardoso says, 'Women fascinate me with their beauty and mystery. I like to bring this beauty, mystery and interest to my canvases, often rife with human conflict and emotion.' In this original acrylic on canvas painting, he depicts a woman in the nude, arms raised above her head. She appears comfortable with her sensuality; inviting the viewer to admire her curvaceous form. Cardoso's admiration for the great masters Van Gogh and Matisse are evident in his Impressionistic handling of the subject.

Says Ghanaian artist Joel Acheampong, "Every woman goes the extra mile to fend for his family." He paints this scene in an impressionist style, depicting an African mother with her child as she bikes home, her bike loaded with wood.
