He crafts it in 100% sheep's wool colored with natural dyes, and decorates it using classic Zapotec-style agave designs. Born in Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca, Bulmaro Mendoza learned traditional Zapotec weaving as a boy from his parents. He now runs a workshop with them where they create textiles using local wool and organic dyes.
