"Beautiful hand carved nativity"
This beautiful piece now has a permanent place in our living room as a reminder of our vacation in Peru. We saw it while shopping but it was not until I found the Novica web site and read about the company and the artist (John Barrow) that we decided to make the purchase. I appreciate what the company is doing for the people in this region of the world. We will make other purchases from this company.

"What a novel concept!"
This crèche was originally destined for my son s bedroom; but, when it arrived, it proved too beautiful for such a private setting. So, it was moved to the main living room for all to admire. The crafting of a Nativity scene in a block format is so unique. All our friends, upon viewing it, exclaim they have never seen such a novel concept and are amazed at your artistry. It went on display immediately upon arrival — even before December! Why hide a masterpiece!

"Beautiful and unique."
I wasnt expecting how beautiful this set is. I thought it would be nice, a bit of a conversation piece. Its so much more than that. The wood is just beautiful, and the detail is exquisite. This nativity set will be proudly displayed in my home every Christmas from this year on. Thank you, John, for a wonderful addition to our holidays.

"Beautiful craftsmanship"
This nativity set more than lives up to my expectations. Each piece is beautifully finished, and the Novica photo doesnt do justice to their wonderful glowing sheen.

"Exqusite and dynamic!"
I have a lot of folk art, including a number of other pieces from John Barrow, and I am mostly only interested in depictions of animals, plants, and geometric forms, not humans. However the colors of the womens dress, combined with the condor, make this one of only a handful of pieces I have in my collection depicting humans, and I am extremely happy with it! One thing I realized I especially love about this piece is the dynamism that comes from having the condor sticking out away from the pieces center of gravity.
