"Color was closer to black than lilac"
Color was not as I expected. I wanted more lilac--like in the picture. Also one of the earring backs was VERY tight. It took me several minutes and some discomfort in order to remove. However, since the cost was minimal, I will go ahead and keep and use backs from other earrings (good fit on these).
