Rachel Armah names these handsome earrings Mmra Krado, an Akan word that means "Seal of Law." This refers to the authority of Akan chiefs and the role they play in enforcing law and order in smaller communities. The Ghanaian artisan handcrafts the earrings of natural soapstone and bauxite beads.
