Signed Original Print Abstract Art, "Black Sun"

"In my prints there has always been a center, surrounded by concentric circles that eventually become suns and moons," says Heloisa Pires Ferreira about her composition, printed with metal engraving techniques. "The prints became a series with such titles as 'Black Sun,' 'Red Sun,' and 'Yellow Sun.' They are like suns that appear in the heavens and expand through space. They speak of death in Latin America, with its divisions, losing contact. Almost every country is crying with the suffering of its people, who live under the rule of greed and power. The sun becomes a symbol of life and hope."
