Inspired by a centuries-old relief painting technique found on Indian temples, Neelima Gupta creates this sweet painting of two birds perched in a leafy tree. The artisan uses marble dust mixed with a thickening adhesive to create the raised image, then brings the birds to life by hand painting them in rich oil colors. The artwork arrives in a neem wood frame.
