Signed Abstract Painting of Women and Jars from Guatemala, "The Law of Life"

Inspired by the beginning of a new cycle, Jose Coutiño paints a vibrant composition that seeks to capture the natural and cultural beauty of Guatemala. In colorful, abstract designs, three women among jars are depicted, one seated, and two standing. The colors and designs are inspired by traditional pre-Hispanic clothing, billowing like the wings of butterflies. Says the artist, "Life is not to seek gain, it is to be loyal to oneself without damaging that which surrounds us, giving us the opportunity to test that you can achieve your dreams. If you believe you can, so it will be. If you don't know, learn, practice, be consistent, and above all else love what you do."
