Signed Abstract Painting from Guatemala, "Detachment from Fear"

Working in a unique abstract style, Jose Coutiño paints a wondrous composition that chases the essence of Guatemalan nature and culture. In vibrant colors, three women are depicted in traditional clothing, inspired by themes of flowering. Two figures stay seated, and one walks away from the viewer. Says the artist, "Fear resides within our ego. It has never been a good advisor. It limits us and gives us an excuse not to leave our false zones of comfort."
