Sankofa Motif Golden Brown Wood Decorative Wall Mask, "Sankofa Man"

Artisan Kwasi George of Ghana handcrafts out of sese wood this decorative wall mask that depicts the concept of sankofa, a word in the Twi language of Ghana which translates to "go back and get it," or, to be open to learning from the past in order to build a successful future. The black bird at the top of the mask stretches its neck backward to gather a nugget of wisdom. The face below the bird is elongated and angular in a golden brown tone with black accents.
