Working to promote fair trade opportunities in West Africa, the Foundation for the Advancement of Direct Trade collaborates with artisans making handcrafted goods such as this sculpture. The sculpture is done after the style of the Fante peoples, and depicts a couple that is seated. Artisans hand carve the sculpture from native sese wood with a rustic, rugged look.
