Depicting two crossed swords, the Adinkra symbol Akofena represents courage and valor. Ghanaian artist Malik Jabir Dodoo creates this cultural Akofena sculpture, hand-carved from sese wood and decorated by hand with beads of recycled plastic in hues of green, black, and white. The sculpture is displayed atop a black wood base with several holes in it.
