Hand crafted from marupa wood, this canoe-shaped decorative bowl bears distinctive geometric markings that are achieved through wood burning techniques. The bowl is made by the Pataxó Indigenous Community, an indigenous ethnic group in Brazil that is struggling to retain their hold on their traditional lands and their culture.
