Details
Wearing a traditional headdress and jewelry, a Pataxó man patiently awaits the start of the sacred full moon ceremony. The Pataxó are one of the indigenous peoples of Brazil, living in the state of Bahia. In a series of photographs, photographer Thalles Tramon of Brazil captured the lives and ceremonies of the Pataxó peoples who are struggling to preserve the forests of Bahia.
From the sales of these prints, the artist is donating 30 percent to the Pataxó Cultural Center of Porto do Boi.
