Orange and Brown Music-Themed Batik Wall Hanging, "Tradition"

Maintaining the traditions of their land, two West African men make music on a horn and a drum. This unique cotton wall hanging is the work of Gladys Ayorkor Ayi, who uses time-honored batik techniques to create the artwork. Designs are painted on fabric with wax, and then the fabric is dyed to achieve the desired pattern. These steps may be repeated with different colors until the scene is complete.
