This sweet small figurine is hand crafted from pinewood by Guatemalan artisan Manuel Delfino. The artist was inspired by the Mexican folk art form of alebrijes, which are fanciful hand-painted animal sculptures from Oaxaca. Delfino carves the macaw by hand and paints it in colorful detail.

"Bright and happy macaw"
This little macaw is so beautiful, he looks great with the penguin I also got from Delfino. Great quality, it arrived very well packed and fast.

"Disappointed"
I was surprised that this figurine did not live up to what I have come to expect from Novica. It could have been really cute, but the carving and the painting were not carefully done.
