Daniel Asante invites to experience African rhythms with the powerful beat of this kpanlogo drum. It is carved by hand from tweneboa wood featuring a painted spider's web. The drumhead is made from bull hide and held taught with red cotton threads. The kpanlogo is a traditional drum from the Ewe people around the Volta and western regions of Ghana.

"a favorite acquisition"

I have purchased several masks. Each has been interesting in its own way but I think this one is my favorite and now hangs in my office where I can see it all day. I love the surface patterning and the unusual facial expression and configuration.
