Women in Kathmandu, Nepal, knit these unconventional, colorful winter mittens from pure wool. A single artisan is responsible for the item from start to finish, from casting on the first stitch to the hand-embroidered accents. The mitten flap can be folded over and secured with a coconut-wood button to leave fingers free, or folded over for warmth while still leaving a small exposed hole in the thumb open to enable texting or typing on a cell phone.
Please note: As these mittens are handmade, the color and pattern may vary slightly. However, the overall theme will remain the same.

"Beautiful & Warm Gloves"
These are great because, not only do they match my gorgeous hat, but they are so versatile. You can have your fingers out or flip the mitten cover and your fingertips are warm! I just love these. Beautiful & cozy. What a great gift!

"get with the matching hat"

"Beautiful, but..."
Beautiful embroidery only on one side, other side is plain -- see picture.Too big, why not make two or three different sizes?Otherwise it is wonderfully warm and soft inside. I want to love it but am ambivalent about keeping it. I would like to exchange it for a smaller size.

"Not as advertised"
The Good: The embroidered flowers are beautiful. The Bad: The flowers are only on ONE SIDE of the hat. The picture shows the hat in profile so its technically accurate, but kind of sneaky advertising. I look kind of weird and lopsided with only one side of the hat heavily decorated. Also, another review described beads and buttons incorporated in the embroidery. My hat did not include this. So Im disappointed and returning the product.
