Known as the guardian spirit of Java, Semar the Caretaker, divine and full of wisdom, is regarded as a sacred figure for the Javanese. With a molding technique, artisan Arif Bimo recreates the revered mythological character using iron and a natural oxidation process. The artisan's finishing touch includes mounting and framing the figure in dark brown suar wood.
