"Beautiful to look at new but wears out on day one"
I spin yarn by hand and knit myself cardigans, but thought I would buy an aran cardigan because I dont have the time to make everything I want. I bought this aran sweater in the teal color. It was beautiful to look at when I pulled it out of the mailer/box. However, IT PILLS TERRIBLY! Everyday I wear this very warm sweater, I have to de-pill it before I can be seen in public or on zoom. Everytime I walk in front of a mirror, I have to de-pill it. The yarn from which it is knit is made soft in two ways; 1. the fiber is merino and 2. the yarn is spun very, very loosely. Its #2 thats the problem. If the yarn had been spun with a much higher twist it would be a durable soft sweater, but its not! I am keeping the pills I collect to see how much weight it loses over one year of wearing. I definitly do NOT reccommend this product.

"Soft, warm, nice neutral color"
Great fit, the wool is very soft to the skin, and within minutes I felt warmer! So happy to finally have an Irish sweater. Love the font patch pockets. Glad I ordered the XL after reading customer reviews as I like my sweaters to still feel roomy when worn over any clothing.

"So many compliments"
