Impressionist Painting of a Young Girl from Ghana, "All Alone"

Capturing a moment of free will, Ghanaian artist Maxwell Boadi paints this composition to depict a young girl who removes herself from the worries of others. Working in an impressionist style, the artist uses broad strokes of the brush to suggest the girl's small frame and bright yellow dress. Says Boadi, "I want the world to know that it is nice to be sociable but sometimes we need to separate ourselves a little from that to think and come up with good ideas."
