Once owned by the Spanish bishop Cristóbal de Castilla y Zamora, this building in Huamanga Province, Peru is now used as a religious university. Robert Torre paints from a cloister in the National University of Cristóbal de Castilla y Zamora, through which the viewer can see a fig tree growing in the middle of a square. Torre paints in an impressionist style, blending form and color to create this tranquil composition.
