"Always something new to see in this design!"
We have this rug hanging up in a room with a lot of wood, which really brings out the warm colors. The many different birds are unusually expressive with very sweet faces. The weaving is beautifully done. This is a unique and wonderful gift for any bird-lover!!

"Beautiful!!!"
This is a beautiful piece. The colors are outstanding. I am a naturalist, so I used a straight tree branch I found on the ground to hang this. Looks very good on my wall.Thank you Eliazar for your art. I appreciate it.

"The cats are creepy, but I love it regardless!"
Eliazar Ochoa is one of half a dozen Peruvian artisans whose page I try to check every month or so for new work; I had a rug and another tapestry by him already. I love depictions of animals. especially when they are animals you dont commonly see depicted as with llamas and rheas, two distinctly South American animals (my other tapestry from him is all condors). And while purple is my favorite color, I do like orange as well, and I saw there was a bit of purple in this. This tapestry currently occupies pride of place, on the door to my office. Which means that at close range, Ive realized the faces of the cats are kind of creepy. But Im not really sure how you could do better on a loom, and I have also seen much worse cat faces! As I look at them more, I think I definitely prefer : | to a badly done : 3 (the most popular simplified cat face), and it makes a lot more sense on a loom as well!

"So striking I bought it immediately!"
There is just some thing about the design of this carpet that as I was browsing new arrivals I knew I had to grab it immediately and at full price without waiting for a sale. As it turns out the artist is making more of these, but Im still very glad I grabbed it when I did; I wouldve been much more disappointed if I had missed out!
