Details

This charming recycled metal figurine captures a chiropractor at work on a patient laying flat on a table. Mexican artisan Armando Ramirez designs and welds the figurine from hand-selected scrap metal from a variety of Mexican automotive, industrial and construction waste sites. "The process involves selecting recycled items that can be used," says Ramirez. "I separate and soak them in a cleaning solution to remove any impurities, and solder them together until I achieve my design. Then I give it a protective coat of glossy varnish." Each piece of the sculpture is recycled and unique, with some parts oxidized to providing a rustic charm.
