Flowers are dazzling as they evoke a summer garden in Guanajuato. Trimmed in cobalt blue, this colorful ginger jar re-interprets the style of Mexico's legendary Talavera ceramics. Pedro Alba crafts and paints the piece by hand, and the glaze creates the effect of low relief.
This classic lidded vase is known in Mexico as a tibor; it was brought to Mexico from the Orient by way of the Philippines in the late 1500s.
