Ostentatious peacocks flirt coyly as they sit in the Tree of Life in this original work by India's Bharti Dayal. The artist creates the painting in acrylic paint and vegetable dyes on handmade paper in the traditional folk art style known as Madhubani or Mithila painting. The tradition is kept alive by women in Bihar, where they paint detailed scenes of mythology and nature on the walls and floors of their homes.

"Vibrant and Charming!"
This painting is delightful, a great combination of traditional form and colors and modern, geometrical composition. I love the parrots expression and the checkerboard-bird background.
